About Listening to Vin
Kevin Bender is a producer and director of documentary and sports programming. His first documentary, 1989's Ball Talk: Baseball's Voices of Summer, featured Hall of Fame baseball announcers Mel Allen, Red Barber, Jack Brickhouse, Jack Buck, Curt Gowdy and Ernie Harwell. Ball Talk is now available on DVD for the first time at www.balltalkdvd.com and at Amazon.com.
Kevin also produced and directed The Golden Decade of Baseball, a documentary featuring the players and personalities from the Yankees, Dodgers and Giants of 1947-1957.
Starting with the 2009 baseball season, Kevin embarks on two new projects. Ball Talk TV will feature video conversations with current baseball announcers. Listening to Vin, his new blog, will cover Vin Scully's work during his 60th season announcing Dodgers baseball. Both new projects will be available at www.balltalkdvd.com
Kevin lives in Carlsbad, California with his wife and two daughters.
